Skywave agrandi l'étendu de la certification de son produit DMR-200D pour répondre aux besoins grandissants liés aux applications à haut risque

Ottawa, 12 Décembre 2006 - Ottawa, Ontario - December 12, 2006 - SkyWave Mobile Communications, the leading worldwide distributor of D+ satellite communications products and services, today announces the extension of its DMR-200D C1Div2 (Class 1, Division 2: Hazardous Environment) certification, Groups A, B, C, and D only, for use in hazardous locations. The DMR-200D C1Div2 is a compact satellite communications terminal certified to operate in and be resistant to the chemicals found in hazardous environments.

SkyWave’s D+ service enables highly reliable control and monitoring of assets in remote areas around the world. The market for remote management and tracking of hazardous materials continues to grow in response to increasing concerns regarding safety and security. The C1Div2 certification allows SkyWave’s DMR-200D C1Div2 terminal to be used for monitoring and control of assets located in hazardous or high-risk environments containing volatile, flammable vapors and gases. Applications include storage tanks or pipelines commonly used in the agricultural, manufacturing, oil and gas industries.

“For over three years, solution providers have relied on the SkyWave C1Div2 terminals to enable high value applications to a broad range of industries,” said Solomon Wong, VP of Marketing at SkyWave. “Increasingly, we are seeing corporations and institutions relying on remote asset management and security to increase efficiency and responsiveness in their business”.
